Bosnian MinesweeperYour GPS said “shortcut”.
A perfectly normal walk through Bosnia. What could possibly go wrong?
Play Bosnian Minesweeper online
Bosnian Minesweeper is a free browser puzzle game with dark humour and playable maps of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Reveal safe squares, read the numbers and flag suspected mines. Play on desktop or mobile, choose from six difficulties, compete on verified leaderboards or try the daily challenge. No download or account needed.
Bosnian Podrinje Canton Goražde is a separate playable region in the map collection. Zoom makes dense grids easier to inspect on a phone. Reveal all safe cells to finish the region; marking every mine is not required.

Before you trust the GPS
Is Bosnian Minesweeper free?
Yes. Play directly in your browser without downloading anything or creating an account.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. Tap to reveal, hold to flag, or switch to Flag mode. Pinch to zoom and drag the enlarged map.
Which Bosnia maps can I play?
Choose the whole country, the Federation of BiH, Republika Srpska, Brčko District or any of the ten cantons: 14 boards in total.
How does the daily challenge work?
Everyone gets the same map, mine layout and first opening each day, using Sarajevo time. You have one ranked attempt per account per day, or per browser as a guest; further attempts are practice. Finishing daily games on consecutive days builds your streak.
Are these real mine locations?
No. This is a meme puzzle game. Mine positions are randomly generated for gameplay and are not information about real terrain.

Who approved this idea?
I am Eldin Turkić, an IT professor and software engineer from Bosnia and Herzegovina. I created Bosnian Minesweeper by combining the classic puzzle, maps of my home country and the highly questionable promise “I know a shortcut”. The result: a free browser game where reading the numbers is a better life choice than trusting your GPS.
I made this game as a Balkan meme with a serious point behind the joke: keeping awareness of landmines and unexploded ordnance in Bosnia and Herzegovina alive. If a virtual pâté mine makes you remember that a real warning sign is not a side quest, my meme has done some useful work. Here, one bad click costs you a score. Real terrain does not come with a New game button.
